Miss Lexington Mock Interviews, Sunday October 19th, 10:00 AM till 3:30 PM.  1365 Saddle Club Way (see directions below).

To prepare:

Wear the outfit you intend to wear for your interview the day of the pageant, with hair and make-up done.  You can change before the rehearsal that evening.  This will make you feel more like the real thing!!!

We will have two sets of five judges each here that day, just like at the pageant.

You will give your introduction, we will give you a 10 minute interview, then you will give your closing.

We will critique you.

Then we will do another full interview, just like the first, with the second panel of judges.  You could get repeat questions or entirely different questions with the second panel.

You will have a full 30 minutes, so please be on time, prepared to go.  We are going to try to get interviews in for 20 contestants that day.  This will give the last contestant time to change and get to rehearsal by 4:00 pm.

If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask during the break.  We are doing this for you so you will feel comfortable during the interview process.

Interview counts 40% now, so it is very important.  The purpose is to get to know you and your platform, and the best way to project yourself is to relax and let the judges get to know the real you.

When you are asked an opinion, there is not a wrong answer.  Different people have different opinions, so you cannot give a wrong answer.  However, you need to be able to explain why you have that opinion.

Ten different people are coming to be judges for you and help you better prepare yourself.  Please come prepared and respect their time.
